ANNOUNCEMENTS ON5 Protocol Is Live: Issue Branded Visa and Mastercard Cards… CARD NETWORK

In short

ON5 Protocol is live at ON5.com. Activation is a one-time $5,000 in KNCH on the Kaanch Network; after that you fund with USDT or USDC on four chains and issue Visa and Mastercard virtual cards under your own brand, from a dashboard or a REST API, with a $5 minimum card load.

ON5 Protocol is live. From today, any business can fund an account with stablecoins and issue branded virtual cards on Visa and Mastercard — through a dashboard, or through a REST API — without assembling an issuing stack of its own.

Opening a programme costs a one-time $5,000 activation, paid in KNCH on Kaanch Network. After that the running minimums are small: 1 USDT / USDC to deposit, $5 to load a card. One number to start, then pay for what you issue.

That last part is the whole point. Issuing a card has never been one product. It is a licensed issuer, a BIN sponsor, a processor, a KYC provider, a ledger, a 3-D Secure flow, a settlement account, and a compliance function stretched across all of it. Assembling it is why card programmes are counted in quarters. ON5 holds that stack so you do not have to build it.

What it does

  • Issues on rails that already work. A card is only useful where merchants already take it. Cards issued through ON5 are Visa or Mastercard, accepted anywhere those networks are accepted online.
  • Funds without a bank. Top up in USDT or USDC on Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, Base or Kaanch Network. Deposits credit automatically once the chain confirms them — at any hour, on any day, with no wire and no cut-off time.
  • Carries your brand, not ours. Your name on the card, your logo in the email, your support address at the bottom of it. Your cardholders never see ON5.
  • Reconciles. Every load, authorisation, spend, refund and fee lands on a double-entry ledger with the fee snapshot attached, so any statement line can be explained months later.

What it does not do yet

Worth saying plainly, because an announcement that overstates is the one people quote back at you.

  • The ON5 Card Network is not live. Our own decentralized card network is in development and testing at ON5.org. No card is issued on it. When it is ready it appears in the same account as one more card product — no migration, no rewrite.
  • Regional networks are applications, not partnerships. ON5 has applied to issue on RuPay, JCB and UnionPay. Those are applications. They are not approvals, and we will not describe them as anything else until they are.
  • Cards are virtual. Physical cards are not part of this launch.

Start in ten minutes

  1. Create an account at ON5.com and sign in with the one-time code sent to your email.
  2. Activate the account. A one-time $5,000 activation, paid in KNCH on Kaanch Network. The dashboard quotes the exact KNCH amount at the current price and holds that quote for 60 minutes; the price used is frozen on the record, so a later move in KNCH does not change what you paid.
  3. Deposit USDT or USDC to the address shown for your chosen chain. The minimum is 1 USDT / USDC, and the balance credits once the chain confirms it.
  4. Set your brand — business name, logo and support contacts. These are what your cardholders will see.
  5. Issue a card. Pick a product and a design, name the cardholder, load at least $5, and it exists.
  6. Move to the API when you are ready. Everything the dashboard does is an endpoint.

Why this sequence

ON5 has been in the regulatory groundwork for its own card network since 2023, on blockchain infrastructure our sister project Kaanch Network has been developing since 2020 and took live on 23 December 2024. So a fair question is why we are launching on Visa and Mastercard at all.

Because a new card network is new to everybody at once — issuer, merchant and cardholder — and the one thing a card must do on day one is work. Issuing on networks with global acceptance means our customers ship real programmes now, while the network that is meant to replace them is still being tested. The merchant and brand base built in the meantime is exactly what a new network needs on the day it opens.

The long version is in ON5.com vs ON5.org.

Where to go next

Frequently asked questions

Is ON5 Protocol live?

Yes. ON5.com is live: businesses can fund an account with USDT or USDC and issue branded virtual cards on Visa and Mastercard through a dashboard or a REST API. The separate ON5 Card Network at ON5.org is still in development and testing.

Do I need a BIN sponsor or an issuer licence?

No. ON5 holds the issuing relationships and runs the processing behind the programme. You bring the brand, the customers and the funding.

How much does it cost to start?

A one-time account activation of $5,000 worth of KNCH, paid on the Kaanch Network. After that the minimum deposit is 1 USDT or USDC and the minimum load on a card is $5. Issuance and top-up fees vary by card product and are shown before you confirm anything.

Why is activation paid in KNCH rather than a stablecoin?

KNCH is the native asset of Kaanch Network, the chain built by the same company that operates ON5 and intended as the settlement layer beneath the ON5 Card Network. Activation is the one payment that runs on it today. The dashboard quotes the exact KNCH amount for $5,000 at the current price, holds that quote for an hour, and freezes the price used on the record.

Which chains can I fund from?

USDT and USDC on Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, Base and Kaanch Network. Deposits credit automatically once the chain confirms them to the required depth.

Can my cardholders see that ON5 is involved?

No. Cards, emails and support contacts carry your brand across 20 designs. ON5 sits underneath as the issuing platform.

What happens when the ON5 Card Network launches?

It appears in the same account as an additional card product. The integration you write today keeps working — there is no migration and no rewrite.
